Where it came from
Amor De Mi Vida, released in 1992 under the Producciones Laminia label, represents a period of exploration in Latin balladry during the early nineties. As a 45 RPM single, it was produced for a regional audience, capturing a sound that favored sentimental, emotive vocal performances typical of the independent Latin music scene of that era.
The recording serves as a characteristic example of the Producciones Laminia catalog, which focused on spotlighting local vocalists through traditional production techniques. While the artist Amparito Del Pilar remains a niche figure in the broader discography of the time, the record design reflects the minimalist aesthetic common to small-label pressings in the nineties, prioritizing clear typography and direct visual representation over elaborate graphic design.
