Where it came from
Released in 1963 on the Sello Vergara label, this record represents a snapshot of the Latin music scene in Spain during the early 1960s. The album showcases the musical arrangement and performance skills of Pedro García and his ensemble, Conjunto Los Universitarios, who were active in delivering accessible, danceable recordings typical of the period's popular regional releases.
The design and production of this LP reflect the aesthetic standards of small to mid-sized Spanish independent labels of the era, which prioritized functional, eye-catching cover art to stand out in record shop bins. The album is regarded by collectors today as a niche artifact of the Sello Vergara catalog, capturing a specific moment of mid-century Iberian recording history that sought to blend traditional influences with the emerging pop sensibilities of the time.
