Divertimento D-Dur K 251 / Divertimento F-Dur K 247

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed these divertimenti in Salzburg in 1776, a period when he was heavily involved in creating light, elegant social music for the local nobility. The Divertimento in F major, K. 247, and the Divertimento in D major, K. 251, were intended as festive background music for garden parties or celebrations, characterized by their sophisticated interplay between strings and horns.
