Where it came from
Released in 1976 on the CBS Columbia label, En El Amor Todo Es Empezar served as a pivotal entry in Raffaella Carrà’s discography, marking a strategic effort to solidify her immense popularity within the Spanish-speaking market. The album was born out of Carrà's dominance in Italian variety television and her subsequent crossover success, featuring high-energy pop arrangements that blended disco influences with the theatrical flair typical of her performances during the mid-seventies.
The record’s design aesthetic reflects the high-glamour, avant-garde style that defined Carrà’s public persona, emphasizing her role as an international fashion icon as much as a vocalist. Critics and audiences of the era embraced the project for its infectious, upbeat production, which helped cement her status as a cultural phenomenon across Spain and Latin America, eventually turning the title track into an enduring classic of the Spanish pop canon.
