Grimms Märchen: Dornröschen / Märchen Von Einem Der Auszog, Das Fürchten Zu Lernen / Der Eisenofen

Released in 1977 by the German label Intercord, this vinyl record is part of a broader series dedicated to preserving traditional German folklore. These recordings were produced during a period when the Grimm brothers' fairy tales were experiencing a resurgence in audio format, serving as a primary storytelling medium for German-speaking households before the ubiquity of digital media. The collection sought to maintain the integrity of the original narratives while providing an immersive, theatrical experience through voice acting and careful pacing.

The aesthetic design of the Intercord releases from this era typically reflected a mid-century European approach to children's media, featuring minimalist, illustrative covers that aimed to evoke a sense of nostalgia rather than the polished commercialism of later adaptations. By focusing on classic stories such as 'Dornröschen' and 'Der Eisenofen', the label leaned into the pedagogical and cultural significance of the source material. These records were generally well-received by educators and parents for their commitment to the authentic Grimm texts, serving as reliable staples in school and public library collections throughout West Germany.
