Released by the Italian label La Nonna Racconta, this record belongs to a series of storytelling discs produced in the mid-20th century, a period when vinyl narrations were a primary form of home entertainment for children in Italy. The record compiles six classic fairy tales, ranging from the Brothers Grimm to Lewis Carroll, designed to provide an immersive auditory experience through theatrical narration and sound effects.

The illustrations for this release were provided by Luciano Verga, a noted artist whose work frequently graced mid-century children's literature and educational media. Verga’s aesthetic for this cover focused on a whimsical, storybook sensibility that aimed to evoke the magic of traditional folklore while maintaining the professional, clean graphic design standards prevalent in Italian commercial illustration during the era.
