Immer Wenn Du von Mir Gehst / Was Wir Uns Wünschen

Released by the Swiss label Rex Record, this single features the Wagner-Zwillinge, or Wagner Twins, a singing duo popular in the mid-20th century. During this era, Rex Record served as a prominent outlet for German-language Schlager and pop music, catering to an audience that favored melodic, accessible compositions performed by siblings or vocal groups. The tracks represent the signature lighthearted, harmonious sound that defined their career and the broader regional entertainment scene of the time.

The production follows the established conventions of the Schlager genre, prioritizing vocal clarity and orchestral arrangement. While the specific design of the sleeve adheres to the minimalist aesthetic common to Rex Record releases from the 1950s and 60s, the focus remained entirely on the performance. These records were intended for domestic consumption and radio play, helping to cement the twins' status as familiar figures in the post-war German-language music industry.
