Konzerte Für Klavier Und Orchester C-dur KV 415 Und F-dur KV 459

This recording captures the artistry of Clara Haskil, a pianist revered for her profound sensitivity and technical clarity, particularly in the works of Mozart. These concertos were recorded in collaboration with the Festival Strings Lucerne under Rudolf Baumgartner and the Berliner Philharmoniker led by Ferenc Fricsay. The release serves as a testament to Haskil's reputation as one of the preeminent Mozart interpreters of the twentieth century, capturing performances that emphasize lyrical nuance and structural integrity over performative flair.

The 1970 pressing reflects the mid-century effort to preserve and curate Haskil's legacy following her sudden death in 1960. As part of a broader collection of her broadcast and studio work, this release was designed to bring her intimate, refined approach to a wider audience. Critics and collectors have consistently regarded these recordings as definitive, praising the effortless dialogue between the soloist and the orchestral partners, which remains a hallmark of high-fidelity classical reissues from that era.
