Laminar Flow

Released in 2022 on the esteemed London-based label For Those That Knoe, Laminar Flow represents a distinct entry in the discography of producer Vid Vai. The album emerged from a contemporary electronic music scene that leans heavily into atmospheric, rhythm-driven compositions, aiming to bridge the gap between dancefloor functionality and introspective listening experiences. It reflects the label's commitment to curation that prioritizes depth and textural intricacy over conventional genre constraints.

The design and production of the record align with the minimalist aesthetic frequently associated with the For Those That Knoe imprint, which often utilizes clean, understated visual language to complement the sonic content. By focusing on fluid transitions and layered soundscapes, Vai sought to explore the relationship between movement and auditory rhythm. Upon its arrival, the work was received by the underground electronic community as a focused and cohesive project, praised for its technical precision and its ability to maintain a consistent mood throughout the LP format.
