Where it came from
Released under the Lamiré label in the mid-20th century, this recording of 'Marcha Nupcial' features the Orquestra de Shegundo Galarza. The release is emblematic of the Latin American regional music industry during an era when local labels were instrumental in documenting popular orchestral arrangements of classical and ceremonial standards for local markets.
The production reflects the mid-century trend of professional dance orchestras reinterpreting traditional wedding marches with regional flair. While the specific arranger remains uncredited on the release, the work reflects the polished, mid-tempo orchestral style characteristic of Galarza’s ensembles, which were widely circulated throughout Ecuador and neighboring regions during the label's active years.
