Moorfeuer

Moorfeuer was released in 2001 on the niche electronic label 3D Records as catalog number 3D004. The project served as a vehicle for the work of Holger Flinsch, an artist operating within the experimental and electronic music circles of early 2000s Germany. The record reflects the specific sonic landscape of that era, where minimal techno and ambient textures often intersected with more industrial or atmospheric production techniques.

The aesthetic of the release, much like others in the 3D Records catalog, focused on a stripped-back presentation that favored auditory experience over conventional commercial branding. Designed to suit the label's identity, the sleeve art and production choices were intentional in creating a clinical, immersive environment for the listener. While the record remained a deep-cut release primarily known to collectors of underground electronic music, it represents a snapshot of the experimental sensibilities prevalent in the independent German electronic scene at the turn of the millennium.
