Where it came from
Released in 1987 on the independent Danish label It's Magic, this record serves as a niche artifact of the late eighties Danish music scene. The project, led by Ole Friis under the moniker Finn & De Fem Fejl, reflects the experimental and often whimsical spirit of independent Scandinavian pop-rock from that decade, focusing on playful lyrical themes delivered through a distinctly local cultural lens.
The album's design and production emerged from a period of self-reliant music making in Denmark, where artists frequently handled their own creative direction to maintain independence from major labels. While the record did not achieve widespread commercial success, it remains a documented entry in the discography of the era, appreciated by collectors of Scandinavian underground music for its contribution to the varied soundscape of 1980s Danish indie music.
