Where it came from
Released by Supraphon in 1976, this single represents a period in Czechoslovak popular music when established pop vocalists frequently collaborated with vocal groups like Planety and Plameny. The track Píseň pro plavé vlasy showcases Jiří Štědroň, a versatile performer who transitioned from acting to a successful singing career, operating within the tightly regulated but musically active landscape of 1970s Eastern Bloc pop production.
The record features arrangements characteristic of the era's light entertainment output, designed for broadcast on Czechoslovak Radio and for sale through the Supraphon label's extensive distribution network. It reflects the stylistic trends of the time, characterized by polished, melodic compositions that catered to a broad audience, maintaining a consistent aesthetic typical of state-sanctioned popular music of that decade.
