Slovenská Ludová Hudba

Slovenská Ludová Hudba was released in 1980 on the Diskos label, a significant entity in the Yugoslav music industry based in Aleksandrovac. This recording captures the traditional folk music of the Slovak ethnic minority residing in the Vojvodina region of Serbia. By producing this work, the Studijski Ansambl RTV Novi Sad aimed to preserve and formalize the regional musical heritage, reflecting the cultural policy of the era that emphasized the diverse artistic expressions of the various ethnic communities living within Yugoslavia.

The album serves as a documentation of the instrumental and vocal traditions maintained by the Slovak diaspora in the Pannonian Plain.
