Symphonie Zur Serenate Auf Die Erste Hundertjährige Jubelfeyer Der Hamburgischen Löblichen Handlungs-Deputation

This recording was produced by the Handelskammer Hamburg to commemorate the centenary of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce's deputation. The work, a symphony intended for ceremonial performance, serves as a historical document of the city's musical and mercantile identity, capturing the formal elegance expected of late eighteenth-century celebratory compositions. It reflects the intersection of civic pride and institutional patronage in Hamburg, positioning the musical arts as a centerpiece of corporate and civic milestones.

The Hamburger Camerata, known for their focus on classical and baroque repertoire, was selected to perform this piece to ensure an authentic and technically precise representation of the era’s symphonic style. The recording was issued by the Handelskammer as a limited release, likely intended for internal distribution and archival preservation rather than commercial retail. The design and production values are consistent with the minimalist, functional aesthetics favored by institutional record labels during the mid-twentieth century.
