Where it came from
The Untitled EP by Laminat and Kobermann was released in 2015 on the Sama Recordings label as the catalog entry sama002. It emerged from the minimal techno and experimental electronic underground scene, representing a collaborative effort between the two producers to explore rhythmic textures and stark, atmospheric soundscapes typical of the label's output during that period.
The design of the release maintains the understated, functional aesthetic often associated with limited-run vinyl pressings in the techno genre. By focusing on a minimalist visual identity, the creators prioritized the auditory experience, positioning the EP as a specialized tool for DJs and collectors of the era who favored subtle, loop-based production styles over more commercial arrangements.
