X-Clusif Remix Volume 3

The X-Clusif Remix series emerged from the French underground hip-hop and electronic music scene in the early 2000s, serving as a platform for DJ Xela to showcase his turntable technique and remixing style. Produced under the independent P2S Records label, Volume 3 was crafted during a period when the mixtape format was evolving into a more curated, professionalized artifact for local club DJs and dedicated enthusiasts.

The design of the XELA3 release reflects the utilitarian aesthetic common to mid-2000s white-label and independent vinyl pressings, prioritizing the function of the DJ tool over elaborate visual branding. The project was conceived as a limited run intended for regional distribution, primarily aimed at sound system selectors and urban radio DJs seeking exclusive edits of contemporary hip-hop tracks. While it remains a niche item within the broader history of the Remix series, it is documented as a staple of the era's Parisian street-level music culture.
