Where it came from
X-Pulsion, a self-titled release on the vanity label X-Pulsion (catalog number 0000), represents a distinct artifact of the independent electronic and industrial scene of the era. Released as a boutique production, the record embodies the raw, experimental ethos of artists operating outside major distribution channels, focusing instead on personal creative expression and local underground circulation.
The design of the release reflects a minimalist, DIY aesthetic typical of independent self-releases from that period. The project was conceived as an immersive experience, with the artists prioritizing textural soundscapes over traditional song structures. While the release remained largely unknown to the general public, it garnered a dedicated following among aficionados of niche experimental music for its uncompromised production and singular artistic vision.
