Yine Aşkınla Yanıp Öleyim Mi / Hani Ya Gelecektin

Released in 1971 under the Fonex label, this 45 RPM single represents a specific moment in Turkish popular music, often categorized within the Arabesk or semi-classical pop styles prevalent during the era. Handan Kara, a prominent voice of the time, recorded these tracks during a period when the Turkish music industry was rapidly evolving, blending traditional melodic structures with modern studio production techniques to capture the melancholic sentimentality highly valued by audiences of the early 1970s.

The record serves as a representative artifact of the Fonex catalog, a label dedicated to distributing regional talent to a wider listening public. While the specific design choices—from the cover aesthetic to the arrangement of Yine Aşkınla Yanıp Öleyim Mi—reflect the conventions of the period's recording industry, the record stands as a testament to the prolific nature of artists like Kara, who helped define the soundscape for listeners navigating the cultural shifts of urban Turkey in the late twentieth century.
