Provenance

Where it came from

Amplifier was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2004 set Magician's Force. As a support card specifically designed for Jinzo, it reflects the mechanical, dystopian aesthetic of the Machine-type monsters that defined the early competitive meta. The card allows the user to equip the powerful Jinzo monster with an additional effect, reinforcing the character's role as a trap-nullifying powerhouse.

The Dark Revelation Volume 2 release, which includes the DR2-EN152 version of this card, served as a comprehensive reprint set designed to make previously elusive cards more accessible to the wider player base. By reissuing cards from the Magician's Force through Magician's Force eras, Konami allowed players to complete their machine-themed decks. While the card is a utilitarian rarity, its inclusion in this set solidified its place in the game's history as a dedicated piece of legacy support for one of the most iconic boss monsters in the franchise.
