Archfiend of Gilfer

Archfiend of Gilfer first appeared in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, initially serving as a powerful high-level monster that could weaken opposing creatures when sent to the Graveyard. Its design draws from the classic demonic aesthetics prevalent in the series' early catalog, characterized by a jagged, intimidating silhouette and dark, gothic coloration intended to evoke a sense of dread on the field.

The Duel Terminal 3 release, which includes this version of the card, was part of a specialized arcade-integrated expansion series. These cards were distinct due to their unique etched-foil texture and parallel finish, designed to pop under the intense lighting of Japanese arcade cabinets. Collectors prize this specific printing for its tactile quality and its status as a notable reprint of an iconic early-era monster.
