Assault Beast

Assault Beast was originally released in the 2008 set Crimson Crisis as a support piece for the Assault Mode archetype, a strategy centered on upgrading specific Synchro Monsters into more powerful, high-attack versions. The card serves as a search engine for the archetype's core trap card, Assault Mode Activate, providing consistency to a playstyle that required precise combo pieces to function within the fast-paced game environment of the late Synchro era.

The OTS Tournament Pack 10 release, appearing in 2019, featured this specific printing as a common rarity. These packs are designed exclusively for Official Tournament Store events as a reward for participants, serving as a functional reprint that made the card widely accessible to competitive players years after its initial debut. While the artwork retains the original aggressive, biomechanical aesthetic typical of the Assault Mode monsters, this version is defined by its role as an accessible staple for duelists navigating the organized play circuit.
