Provenance

Where it came from

Assault Mode Activate was originally released in the 2009 set Crimson Crisis, designed to support the 'Assault Mode' archetype that centered on evolved versions of Synchro Monsters. The card allows players to tribute a Synchro Monster to special summon its upgraded, high-stat counterpart from the deck, a mechanic that defined a specific era of aggressive playstyles during the 5D's generation of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.

This specific printing comes from OTS Tournament Pack 10, released in 2019 as a promotional set distributed exclusively to Konami-sanctioned tournament stores. As a common rarity inclusion, this reprint was intended to provide players with accessible tournament-legal copies of older tech cards, maintaining the original artwork by the Konami design team while updating the card frame and set identifiers for contemporary play.
