Provenance

Where it came from

Assault Mode Activate was originally introduced in the 2009 set Crimson Crisis, designed to support the Assault Mode archetype, which allowed players to summon powerful evolved forms of certain Synchro Monsters. The trap card serves as a specialized engine, tributing a Synchro Monster to bring its significantly more potent Assault Mode counterpart from the deck to the field, reflecting the high-risk, high-reward strategy that defined the competitive meta of that era.

The reprint in OTS Tournament Pack 30, released as a common card, highlights its enduring role in utility-focused deck building. As an official tournament pack exclusive, this printing provides players with an accessible version of a card that has remained a cornerstone for fans of the Assault Mode mechanic. Its inclusion in this specific set continues Konami's practice of rotating essential legacy support back into the competitive circuit, ensuring that niche but beloved playstyles remain functional in changing environments.
