Assault Reboot

Assault Reboot was released in 2019 as part of the Dark Neostorm core booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It was designed to provide utility for the Assault Mode archetype, a specialized theme centered around high-level monsters that require specific support cards to summon and maintain. This trap card reflects the game's shift toward faster, more reactive play styles, allowing players to tribute an Assault Mode monster to fetch another from the deck while simultaneously setting up graveyard resources.

The card's design and mechanical intent were to breathe new life into the Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode engine, which had long been a point of interest for legacy players. Illustrated with the signature aesthetic of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, the artwork features the aggressive, armored silhouette typical of the Assault Mode series. Upon its release, it was regarded by the competitive community as a niche but effective support piece that helped stabilize the consistency of decks focused on these specific high-risk, high-reward monsters.
