Bazoo the Soul-Eater

Bazoo the Soul-Eater was originally introduced in the early 2000s as a powerful staple for Earth-attribute decks. Its design, featuring an aggressive, bestial warrior drawing strength from the graveyard, reflects the tactical shift during the game's early years toward utilizing the discard pile as a secondary resource zone. The card was designed to reward players for managing their graveyard efficiently, creating a rhythmic loop of banishing cards to grant the monster a temporary combat boost.

This specific printing originates from the 2020 Speed Duel: Battle City Box, a release designed to replicate the nostalgic feel of the original anime's tournament arc while introducing a streamlined ruleset. The card is rendered as a common, serving as a functional utility piece within the box's curated card pool. Like many legacy cards reprinted in this set, it serves both as an engine for thematic play and as an homage to the card's long history as a reliable beatstick in competitive formats.
