Blackwing - Gram the Shining Star

Blackwing - Gram the Shining Star was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2022 release Battles of Legend: Crystal Revenge. The card serves as part of the long-running Blackwing archetype, a series defined by dark-attributed winged-beast monsters that prioritize rapid swarm tactics and synchro summoning. This specific incarnation was designed to offer players a utility-focused option, balancing its role as a Level 5 synchro monster with a token-generating effect that facilitates further plays.

The visual design of the card leans into the aggressive, sharp aesthetic synonymous with the Blackwing theme, characterized by the dark, metallic armor and avian features popularized by the archetype's debut in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's era. As an Ultra Rare in the Crystal Revenge set, it features a glossy finish and foil text intended to highlight its status as a tactical asset. It was received by the player base as a niche but thematic addition, primarily valued by collectors and competitive duelists dedicated to the Blackwing strategy.
