Brain Control

Brain Control was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2005 Structure Deck: Invincible Fortress. Designed as a Normal Spell card, it allowed players to pay 800 life points to gain control of one face-up monster on their opponent's side of the field until the end of the turn. This effect provided a versatile tactical advantage, enabling players to use an opponent's monster for tributes, attacks, or to clear the field for their own offensive maneuvers.

The card's design and mechanical utility made it a staple in competitive play for several years, eventually leading to multiple status changes on the game's Forbidden and Limited list as its power level shifted within the evolving meta. While its original print in the Invincible Fortress deck featured simple, common-rarity artwork, the card became an iconic piece of the mid-2000s card pool, often cited for the dramatic shifts in momentum it could facilitate during a duel.
