Provenance

Where it came from

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Horse Prince was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Cosmo Blazer booster set in 2013. Designed as a key support piece for the Fire Fist archetype, the monster draws its aesthetic inspiration from the classic Chinese novel Water Margin. The creature is depicted as a warrior-general, reinforcing the series' thematic reliance on martial arts imagery and historical folklore motifs reimagined through a fantasy lens.

This specific version, numbered OP12-PT020, was released as a common rarity card in the Portuguese-language OTS Tournament Pack 12. These packs are distributed exclusively to official tournament stores to support competitive local play. By making this card accessible in a tournament-focused pack, Konami provided players with a functional, cost-effective tool to stabilize the 'Fire Fist' deck strategy, which focuses on synergy between Beast-Warrior monsters and 'Fire Formation' spell and trap cards.
