Where it came from
Dark Hole debuted in the earliest days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as one of the fundamental board-clearing spells in the game's history. Its design represents a primal force that destroys all monsters on the field, a simple yet devastating mechanic that has balanced competitive play for decades. The card’s iconic black-swirl artwork has become a recognizable hallmark of the franchise, illustrating the destructive void the spell conjures.
The version from OTS Tournament Pack 12 (OP12-PT022) is a common rarity reprint intended for the Portuguese market. These Tournament Packs are specifically distributed to hobby stores to support official Konami organized play, serving as promotional prizes for participants. By reprinting such a staple card in this format, the developers ensured that players competing in local tournaments had accessible copies of essential utility cards to maintain a level playing field.
