Provenance

Where it came from

Buzzsaw Shark was originally released in the 2020 core booster set Rise of the Duelist. Designed as a support monster for the Water-attribute Fish-type archetype, it functions as a primary engine card for 'Shark' decks, specifically tailored to facilitate Xyz Summons by allowing players to summon another level 4 Fish monster from their deck.

The card appeared as a Super Rare in OTS Tournament Pack 26, a specialized product distributed by Konami exclusively to official tournament stores. These packs are designed to provide competitive players with updated versions of popular staples and thematic support, serving as a reward for local tournament participation and helping to maintain the visibility of specific deck strategies within the meta.
