Cannonball Spear Shellfish

Cannonball Spear Shellfish was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the Pharaoh's Servant expansion before being reprinted as a common in the 2005 set Dark Revelation Volume 2. This release was part of a larger initiative to provide players with accessible versions of earlier cards, helping to stabilize the competitive meta-game by ensuring core mechanics remained widely available to a growing player base.

The card features an aquatic design consistent with the 'Fish' type archetype of the early 2000s, characterized by utilitarian stats and simple, direct effect text. During this period, the design language of the game focused on elemental themes and creature-based combat, reflecting the aesthetic influence of the original manga and anime series. While it was not a centerpiece of tournament-level play, it remains a nostalgic artifact for those who collected during the mid-2000s era of the game.
