Ceasefire

Ceasefire was originally introduced in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as a tactical trap card designed to punish decks reliant on face-down monsters. It reflects the game's foundational era where flip effects and defense-position strategies were central to competitive play. By forcing all face-down monsters to reveal themselves without triggering their effects, it provided players with a calculated method to neutralize hidden threats and inflict burn damage simultaneously.

The Quarter Century Bonanza release of this card marks its inclusion in a specialized set celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the franchise. This version features the prestigious secret-rare finish, characterized by a distinct diagonal foil pattern that has become a hallmark of high-tier collector cards. As part of a commemorative set, this iteration retains the classic strategic utility of the original print while offering collectors a modern, aesthetically elevated take on a staple piece of card history.
