Chobham Armor Dragon

Chobham Armor Dragon was released in the 2019 expansion set Chaos Impact. As an effect monster within the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, it serves as a piece of the broader 'Rokket' archetype, a series of dragon-type monsters utilized by the character Varis in the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. The card was designed to function as a support unit that facilitates the summoning of larger dragon entities, aligning with the mechanical focus of its set on the link summoning and rapid deployment of high-level monsters.

The card's name and visual design reference Chobham armour, a type of composite armour used in main battle tanks, which mirrors the defensive, metal-plated aesthetic of the Rokket monsters. Illustrated to embody a fusion of biological dragon traits and heavy industrial plating, the design aims to visually represent the card's defensive and supportive utility in combat. Like many common-rarity cards from the era, it was intended to provide players with accessible, reliable strategic options for their deck-building efforts.
