Chthonian Alliance

Chthonian Alliance was originally introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Cybernetic Revolution expansion set in 2005. It was designed to support the 'Chthonian' series of monsters, which were themed around the underworld and often utilized aggressive, risk-reward mechanics. The card's design features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the GX era, reflecting a period where Konami sought to introduce more specialized archetype support to differentiate evolving playstyles.

The specific version in question, DR04-EN104, was released as a common card in Dark Revelation Volume 4, a reprint set that compiled cards from various earlier expansions. This reprint provided players with easier access to older utility spells, helping to balance the secondary market at the time. While the card itself saw limited competitive play compared to more powerful staples of that era, it remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on the GX-era card pool and the history of recurring TCG reprint sets.
