Clock Tower Prison

Clock Tower Prison was originally introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Elemental Energy expansion in 2005. It was designed as a thematic Field Spell card centered around the Destiny HERO archetype, a series of cards utilized by the character Aster Phoenix in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series. The card mechanics reflect its namesake, requiring four turns of buildup to avoid destruction, which simulates the slow passage of time and the eventual shift in power dynamics favored by the series' antagonists.

The Dark Revelation Volume 4 set, released in 2007, served as a reprint compilation designed to make powerful or iconic cards from previous expansion sets more accessible to the player base. As a Rare card within this volume, Clock Tower Prison maintained its role as a niche control tool. While it saw moderate play in specific competitive builds during its era, it remains primarily appreciated by collectors and fans of the GX series for its distinct artwork and its representation of the Destiny HERO playstyle.
