Collected Power

Collected Power was released as part of the Labyrinth of Nightmare expansion in 2002. This set marked a significant milestone for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, introducing several iconic cards and expanding on the mechanics established during the game's initial North American launch. The card serves as a thematic reflection of the series' focus on magical artifacts and the gathering of mystical strength, aligning with the dark, labyrinthine aesthetic that defined the set's expansion of the card pool.

The card's design features the standard minimalist aesthetic typical of early Common rarity cards in the Konami English release. Like many cards from this era, it features simplified text formatting designed to balance complex rule interactions within the game's evolving structure. While it did not reach the notoriety of chase cards found in the same set, such as Dark Necrofear, it remains a notable piece of the early game's mechanical history, illustrating the transitional period where trap cards were used to manage stat boosts and equipment cards.
