Where it came from
Constellar Hyades was first introduced in the Duel Terminal 7a set, released to bring the Constellar archetype into the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The Constellar cards were inspired by various constellations, with Hyades taking its name from the star cluster in the Taurus constellation. Designed as a Rank 3 Xyz monster, the card was intended to support the archetype's playstyle by allowing players to shift the battle positions of opposing monsters, providing a tactical edge in field control.
The artwork for Constellar Hyades reflects the celestial aesthetic common to the Constellar series, featuring an armored humanoid figure adorned with starry motifs and metallic plating. Within the Duel Terminal lore, the Constellars are portrayed as heroic celestial warriors battling against the Vylon and Evilswarm forces. While the card saw moderate use in competitive decks that focused on Rank 3 monsters, it is best remembered by collectors as a distinct piece of the extensive Duel Terminal narrative.
