Crystal Raigeki

Crystal Raigeki was released in the 2007 expansion Duelist Pack: Jesse Anderson, a set designed to mirror the deck composition of the character Jesse Anderson from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series. The card was specifically crafted to support the Crystal Beast archetype, offering players a thematic removal tool that rewarded them for maintaining a board presence of Crystal Beast monsters in the Spell and Trap zone. Its design integrates directly with the unique game mechanics of the archetype, requiring the player to send a Crystal Beast card to the Graveyard to destroy an opponent's monster.

The card’s illustration reflects the dramatic aesthetic of the GX era, focusing on the crystalline energy characteristic of the set's titular monsters. Like many common-rarity cards in the Duelist Pack series, Crystal Raigeki was intended to provide accessible utility for fans attempting to build character-accurate decks. While it faced stiff competition from more powerful generic removal cards of the time, it remains a nostalgic staple for enthusiasts of the Crystal Beast playstyle and collectors documenting the evolution of early GX-era support.
