Cyber Blader

Cyber Blader was introduced in the Elemental Energy booster set, released internationally in late 2005. It was designed as a strategic fusion monster specifically for the Alexis Rhodes archetype from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series, embodying her refined and tactical dueling style. The card was created to serve as a versatile counter-measure in the meta-game, featuring a unique multi-stage effect that shifts its combat capabilities based on the number of monsters the opponent controls.

The artwork was developed to reflect the sleek, mechanical aesthetic associated with the Cyber Girl series, emphasizing a shift from traditional organic designs to a more futuristic, armored appearance. Upon its release, it was regarded as a quintessential Super Rare inclusion, valued by players for its ability to adapt to changing board states. It remains a notable example of mid-2000s card design, bridging the gap between show-accurate fan favorites and functional tournament utility.
