Cyber Eltanin

Cyber Eltanin was introduced in the Cyber Dragon Revolution Structure Deck, released by Konami in early 2014. As part of a set dedicated to Zane Truesdale’s signature Cyber Dragon archetype, the card was designed to provide a high-impact, graveyard-dependent boss monster capable of clearing an opponent’s field. Its introduction signaled a shift in the archetype’s utility, moving beyond simple fusion summoning to incorporate banishing mechanics that capitalized on the abundance of LIGHT Machine-type monsters in the graveyard.

The card features artwork depicting a mechanical, serpentine entity, consistent with the aesthetic of the Cyber Dragon family. It was received by players as a situational but powerful board-breaker, valued primarily for its non-targeting removal effect. While it did not become a permanent fixture in the most competitive tournament decks, it remains a notable example of the mid-2010s design philosophy that prioritized rewarding players for managing their resource pool in the graveyard.
