Daigusto Laplampilica

Daigusto Laplampilica was released in 2021 as part of the Dawn of Majesty booster set, serving as a modern addition to the Gusto archetype. The Gusto theme, originally introduced in the Duel Terminal era, is known for its wind-attribute psychic and winged-beast monsters focused on recursive graveyard and deck-thinning strategies. This specific card was designed to revitalize the archetype's synchro summoning capabilities by providing a flexible bridge for summoning higher-level Gusto monsters while facilitating the resource management necessary for the deck to maintain board presence.

The artwork continues the established aesthetic of the Gusto series, which features a blend of whimsical, nature-inspired character designs and high-fantasy motifs. As a super-rare card, it is distinguished by its foil treatment, which highlights the intricate line work of the monster's design. Upon its debut, the card was received by the player base as a practical utility piece, appreciated by fans of the Gusto archetype for finally providing the deck with the specific synchro-climbing support it had lacked for several years.
