Dark Strike Fighter

The Dark Strike Fighter was originally released in the 2009 Crimson Crisis expansion, quickly becoming one of the most controversial cards in the history of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Designed as a Level 7 Synchro Monster, its ability to inflict direct effect damage to the opponent by Tributing monsters earned it a reputation for facilitating 'one-turn kill' strategies. Due to its overwhelming impact on the competitive landscape at the time, it eventually faced significant restrictions and errata to curb its power.

The version from the Legendary Collection 5D's Mega Pack, designated LC5D-EN234, represents a later reprint of this notorious monster. This collection was designed to celebrate the 5D's era of the franchise, bundling various sought-after cards from that period into a retrospective set. While the original release featured a higher rarity, the Mega Pack version was issued as a common, making the card accessible to a broader base of players long after its initial dominance had been curtailed by game balance updates.
