Provenance

Where it came from

Dark World Dealings was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2006 Force of the Breaker booster set. Designed as a tactical spell card, it facilitates draw power while forcing both players to discard, a mechanic specifically engineered to synergize with the Dark World archetype, which triggers powerful effects when discarded by card effects. The card quickly became a staple in combo-oriented decks due to its ability to cycle through the deck and disrupt opponent hands simultaneously.

The version from Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World, released in 2013, serves as a re-release of this strategic tool. This mega-pack collection was designed to celebrate the iconic cards associated with the character Joey Wheeler from the original anime series. By issuing the card as a super-rare variant in this set, Konami provided players with an accessible, high-quality foil iteration of a card that had remained a persistent influence on the competitive landscape for years.
