Delinquent Duo

Delinquent Duo was released as part of the Magic Ruler expansion, which arrived in North America in 2002 as the third core booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Originating from the Japanese OCG set Spell of Mask, the card was introduced during a period when the game's mechanics were rapidly evolving to include high-impact spell cards that could drastically alter the state of play in a single turn.

The card features an illustration depicting two mischievous characters, designed to reflect the chaotic and punitive nature of the effect, which forces the opponent to discard two cards. As an ultra-rare pull, it became a cornerstone of competitive decks due to its ability to dismantle an opponent's hand advantage. Its potency was recognized early on, eventually leading to its permanent ban from tournament play in the official Forbidden & Limited list to maintain game balance.
