Descending Lost Star

Descending Lost Star was introduced in the Crimson Crisis booster set, which debuted in early 2009 as the fifty-seventh expansion of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Following the conclusion of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX era, this set leaned into the newer mechanics introduced in the 5D's series, specifically supporting the playstyles of Synchro-heavy decks and thematic archetypes common to that television iteration. The card itself functions as a revival trap, allowing players to special summon a Synchro monster from the graveyard in defensive position with its effects negated.

The card was illustrated with a somber, celestial aesthetic that fits the high-fantasy visual language established by Konami’s internal art team for the 5D's era.
