Provenance

Where it came from

Dimensionhole was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Pharaonic Guardian set in 2003, later seeing a wider distribution in the Dark Beginning 1 collection. The card was designed to facilitate a unique tactical maneuver by temporarily removing a monster from the field to avoid destruction or to trigger specific 'when this card leaves the field' effects, reflecting the game's evolving focus on banishing mechanics during its early years.

The card features an illustrative style characteristic of the original Kazuki Takahashi era, prioritizing thematic clarity over the hyper-detailed digital art seen in later sets. As a common rarity card in the Dark Beginning 1 reprint set, it served as a functional utility piece for players, valued more for its niche strategic application in 'Exile' style decks than for its aesthetic or collectible rarity.
