Magic Drain

Magic Drain was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Magic Ruler expansion set in 2002. Designed as a counter-trap card, it was crafted to provide players with a strategic way to mitigate the effectiveness of opponent spell cards by forcing a discard or risking the negation of the spell entirely.
