Djinn Disserere of Rituals

Djinn Disserere of Rituals was introduced in the Absolute Powerforce booster set, which was released in the Western markets in 2010. The card serves as part of the 'Djinn' archetype, a group of monsters specifically engineered to support Ritual Summoning mechanics by acting as tributes from the graveyard. This release capitalized on a period where Konami was actively expanding the utility of Ritual monsters, aiming to make the complex ritual mechanic more competitive and resource-efficient for players.

The design of the card reflects the dark, mystical aesthetic consistent with the set's broader theme of absolute power. Like other cards in the series, it features a unique secret rare holographic finish, characterized by diagonal shimmering lines that distinguish it as a high-rarity chase card. It was received by the player base as a significant utility piece, prized for its ability to grant the summoned monster immunity to trap cards, a strategic advantage that made it a staple in various ritual-based deck builds of that era.
