Doomcaliber Knight

Doomcaliber Knight was first introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a core component of the Turbo Pack: Booster One set, released in 2008. These packs were specialized tournament prizes distributed exclusively to hobby stores to support Organized Play, making the cards within them significantly more difficult to acquire than those in standard retail booster boxes. The set was designed to reprint high-value cards, providing competitive players with updated versions of meta-relevant tools.

The design of Doomcaliber Knight draws on the classic high-fantasy aesthetic characteristic of the early GX-era monster cards. Featuring a heavily armored dark knight with mechanical flourishes, the illustration reflects the aggressive, high-risk, high-reward nature of its card effect, which forces a tribute to negate an opponent's monster effect. Upon its release, the card was widely received as a powerful defensive staple, valued by players for its ability to disrupt enemy strategies while maintaining a respectable attack stat on the field.
